The Uniqueness of Brush Plating

Brush plating

The High-Precision Plasma Metalizing

Brush Plating technology is a mobile system for adding metal to metal. This process is, in fact a special type of metalizing but with far more adhesion, less porosity and more precise thickness control than spray, flame or plasma types of metalizing or welding techniques, no heat is generated.

Therefore, no Internal stresses are imparted to the part. The end result is the user is concerned with neither thermal distortion nor cracking.

Bonded Efficiency

The Characteristics of Brush Plating Deposits

First and foremost, it is an excellent bond, in contrast to spray type metalizing where a mechanical bond is achieved, the Brush Technology results in a molecular bond. This bond is achieved on any base metal such as aluminum, cast iron, cast steel, stainless steel, tool steel, chrome, beryllium copper, brass or bronze.

Repairs are done in-situ or at site. No disassembly is required, which means there’s no expensive downtime cost. Repairs are fast, simple and efficient.

Versatile Repair Across Industries

Brush Plating has been widely used in the repair of aerospace components. It is an in-situ process and saves on disassembly costs, parts replacement, labour and production downtime.

In the field of marine technology brush plating proves to be a cost eective choice in the repair of damaged diesel engines, generators, gear boxes and hydraulic shafts. In the Oil and Gas sector, it is approved by major licensors, and is used as an anti-galling process for all types of premium and non-premium box or pin connections on tree tops, tubing hangers, top/bottom subs, cross overs, blast joints test caps, drill collars.

Brush plating also works effectively in the repair of printing machines metal in particular the decorating presses, coating rollers and laminator rollers.
